Temples to heretic gods are drawn into UslaCairne as a mechanism of the Church of the Cleansing Flame's attempt to route out false god's and cultists. None are so despised as the Acolytes of the Crimson Dawn. Proclaiming themselves to be great warrior priests, and drawing lineage back to the imprisonment of the great primeval beasts and the burnishers of the Darkening Storm, they boasted of leading the charge against the Tenth Legion under the banner of the Mother of War. When the Cleansing Flame drew many a temple and force of men to UslaCairne it not only destroyed the temples but transformed the Acolytes of the Crimson Dawn into the very warning of any descent or heresy against the True Light.
Any and all of the acolytes were transformed into a tortuous parody of life. Their skin refusing to accept light from and source burned so black that it remains as a permanent silhouette, though rough and raw to the touch. The pain is so constant that the acolytes were driven to madness and murderous rage. The tattered and worn, faded rust colored cloaks and rust stained armor mark them in their ruined hovels.
